New to Milford Ice this season. The Milford Mission is a program specifically designed for children and young adults affected by ASD and other disabilities. Our two major instructors, Rachel Ricca and Matt Bohn, have extensive experience on and off the ice, working in these fields.
Our programs conform with the United Figure Skating Association (U.S.F.S.A.) "Basic Skills Program." Programs are tailored to serve the needs of both the recreational and the competitive skater (for both hockey and figure skating). All registered members will receive an official Basic Skills Membership Card, Record Book with stickers, official Basic Skills member patch, and a U.S.F.S.A. Certificate for each level passed.
On the first day of each session and every week after, skaters are asked to check in at the desk in the lobby and give your name.
Group placement is made according to age and ability. The first lesson of each session includes the evaluation of skaters ability, arranging of classes, and the proper placement of skaters. Some changes in placement may also be made during a session as needed.
Available only if the ice rink cancels due to bad weather or schedule changes. If make-up classes are needed, days other than Saturdays may be used. No make-ups will be given for reasons other than those stated above.
