>>>Mr. Dan McCarthy, President of of the Wolves organization was born in St. Mary's,
Ontario, and played for the Canadian Junior Leagues until age 20. Thereafter, he went
on to a stellar 9 year professional career highlighted by his time spent with the New York
Rangers. Drawing from Dan's insights, wealth of experience and the personal relationships
that he developed during his playing career, he developed the Connecticut Wolves Junior
Hockey Club. The purpose of this program was to develop and showcase student-athletes
(ages 16-20) in order to make them eligible for college placement as well as scholarship opportunities.
Over the past 10 seasons, Dan and his partner George Hines, have built the premier AAA hockey
program in Connecticut which now includes nearly 200 participants.
The Wolves' overall goal is for youth hockey players to develop a true and lasting love for the game of
hockey. teaching sportsmanship, leadership, discipline and respect are the primary objectives of each
coach, each team, each parent, and of the entire Connecticut Wolves organization.
To achive this, the purpose of the Connecticut Wolves will be driven by three major themes: Community,
Development, and Challenge |
